It's the first week back. Now is the time to make a choice: repeat the same pattern as last year...or make changes to set the tone for the year. The choices you make today will shape the course of your academic journey. Take the time to ingrain good habits today that will make your workload lighter and reduce stress. Three Habits Worth Looking into This Week:

  1. The Quick Start – Try to complete the smallest assignment before you leave school. This will allow you to focus on the larger tasks at hand.

  2. The Daily Sweep – Spend some time organizing your backpack and workspace before bed. Avoid scrambling to find assignments at the last minute.

  3. The Ask Early Rule – If you’re hesitating to ask your teacher/counselor a question, take the time to ask now. The earlier you act on something, the more likely you'll get a yes. Pick one habit to make your everyday less rushed, less lost, and more in control.
